Watched them get many boats in safely when the current was moving or the owner wasnt proficient with docking. (They were very nice and clean bathrooms though. We stayed at Waterside for 11 days. GREEN EYES. There are chairs arraigned on the dock to do just that. Had a great week. The only reason I give the marina 4 stars instead of 5 is the long distance--through a highly public, busy restaurant and entertainment area--to the marina showers and bathrooms, which are clean and comfortable, incidentally. This is a great spot with accommodating staff. However, that one negative doesn't stop me from visiting Waterside because of all its other positives, especially Seth! May 20, 2021: stated overnight and all good. (it has now become our favourite marina - so much to see and do, brand new docks, good people AND, it's very inexpensive). Unfortunately we could not dock at Waterside since the draw bridges south of Norfolk VA (where we are traveling from) have been closed since 4/19 due to flooding. Great access to restaurants, perfect walking paths offering great views. Nice location, close to downtown restaurants and sightseeing. We were at the far end of the dock and could not get a usable Wi-Fi signal. I second all of the previous comments and will not repeat them except to say the staff here are top notch. Great restaurants nearby on Granby St. Good rates and very little roll through the boat basin. The team at the marina are fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful. When we went to plug in to shore power, with our single 30 amp, the outlets are not labeled and our 30 amp plug fit the 50 amp outlet, which it shouldn't have, and shorted out our galvanized isolated and we could not use shore power. It is vibrant, alive with activity during most of the day and evening. The following day I met Alex and Don. Dockmaster was very helpful with docking and information. We came in after hours and he made it very easy with texted pictures and even follow up well after he left to make sure we got in an ok great location to walk to town and take in the Navy in Norfolk. Spent a night in Waterside Marina on our transit south. What a pleasant surprise Waterside was. The docks are extremely nice and the dock hands are knowledgeable and helpful. Came in at Slack so easy docking. Please work on that. We did not use the restroom facility which is quite a walk. 30 amp Free

Really enjoyed the fireworks for the Fourth of July, but REALLY wish the marina docks were closed off to the public or monitored better by staff. Loved it. Ideally situated at Potter Heigham, on the beautiful Norfolk Broads, we are one of the busiest brokers of used boats in the area. We stayed here for the AGLCA Spring Rendezvous and the marina was full of Looper boats. Since this is an urban setting, there's plenty to do within a 1 mile radius. Friendly, helpful Staff. The new Hilton hotels roof top lounge "The Main" is a great place and within walking distance. I was greeted by Danny, a young college aged kid that had been around docks for a period of time. Great location. He provided clear instructions on the VHF and met me promptly at the slip, waving me in. The only advantage is the easy walk to downtown restaurants, shopping, etc. Marina was only half full so that probably helped wifi. A lot of history around the area. The floating docks had power issues with it being wired 220 not 240 volts so they moved us to the fixed wall and all was perfect. If you need to provision, just call the dock house when you return and they will meet you at the street with a cart and help load in your supplies.
