Opening Remarks – Michael Cunningham AVMA Past-President
Randy Ralph reported that the 2007 Silent Auction raised over $700 for “Log a Load for Kids”
Appointment of Secretary for the meeting – Jim Jotcham accepted and was approved by membership at the meeting.
Agenda presented with 4 additions.
Reading of the old Minutes – Accepted as handed out, with two corrections:
1. Shawn Hingley is the current Secretary
2. This year’s meeting was Moncton, not Fredericton.

1) Treasurer’s Report – Mike Boucher
– Opening Balance $11,367.56
– Revenue $7,400.84.
– Expenses $10.050.07
– bank balance $8718.33
– Total assets incl. GIC and outstanding invoices $17,130.83
– A profit is expected from the 2007 meeting.

2) President’s Report – Mike Boucher presented for president Howard Wellman.
2a) Work proceeding on 2010 conference in Halifax, with Rob Young and Mike Cunningham as co-chairs.
– An organizing committee of 6 or more volunteers will be required.
– The sessions will include major field trips (on Bowater land outside of Halifax).
– Call for papers will be in the spring of 2008.
– Field sites will be available in 2008 for work / setting up plots, etc.
– Sites varied – forested, pipelines, powerlines, roadsides, dams, etc.
– Next year’s meeting will be at the same location as 2010 to test the premises; possibly the casino hotel.

6) IPM Council
– IPM Council has invited AVMA to participate in membership; no financial involvement.

7) Atlantic Teachers Tour
– Request for financial support from AVMA.
